Each feature of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator requires a separate license, and during installation, you must select the appropriate license files based on your purchased features. Activation keys are not needed for product licenses. IBM expects customers to install and use only the features they have purchased, reserving the right to inspect installations for compliance at any time.

Licensing Information for v6.0 and Later Releases
Licensing in v6.0 and later releases differs slightly from previous versions. When installing through IBM Installation Manager (IIM), jar files for all components are copied to your installation, even if you haven't selected that component for installation. The Certified Container image for Sterling B2B Integrator also contains all components. If a specific component is not installed, its license is not added, and the UI is not available.

During installation, the following components can be installed along with Sterling B2B Integrator:

Note: Sterling B2B Integrator APIs are available when you install Sterling B2B Integrator. Sterling File Gateway APIs are available only if Sterling File Gateway is installed.

Installing Using IIM
When installing Sterling B2B Integrator with IIM, select the components you want to install during the installation process.

Licensing for IIM Installation
IBM Sterling File Gateway

Selected during installation: License is added, UI is deployed, and Sterling File Gateway APIs are available.
Not selected during installation: License is not added, UI is not deployed, and Sterling File Gateway APIs are not available.
FIPS Module

Selected during installation: FIPS mode license is added, FIPS is enabled.
Not selected during installation: FIPS mode license is not added, and FIPS is disabled.
Financial Services Module

Selected during installation: Financial services license is added, EBICS Client is installed, and EBICS Client UI can be accessed.
Not selected during installation: Financial services license is not added, EBICS Client is not installed, and EBICS Client UI is not available.
EBICS Banking Server Module

Selected during installation: EBICS license is added, and EBICS UI can be accessed if Sterling File Gateway is also installed.
Not selected during installation: EBICS license is not added.
